We know that local markets are a great way for many of you to reach your customers and this Fall is providing a bunch of great opportunities for artisans / crafters / designers to showcase work. Artsplosure is presenting an art market as part of the Wide Open Bluegrass festival. WOB is a component of the International Bluegrass Music Association's World of Bluegrass. Categories for applicants are listed online and artists with hand-made work, particularly that which appeals to traditional music enthusiasts or is representative of Raleigh / North Carolina traditions, are given preference.
Event: Sept 27 - 28
Fee: $200 (single space), $400 (double space) (+$15 app fee)
BazaarSPARK is part of SPARKcon, a yearly festival of creativity intend to ignite the Triangle as the "creative hub of the South". From art to music to film to dance to fashion to gaming to trapeze artistry to poetry readings – the event offers something for everyone. Acceptance for the market is largely based on local flavor, originality, DIY sensibility, and quality.

Fee: $75 (+ $10 app fee)
Shopscotch is the official day party of Hopscotch, a 3-day music festival featuring national and international acts as well as local talent. Shopscotch will be held at Rebus Works Gallery and will feature hand-made art and craft for sale. Artists are accepted based on several factors like originality, presentation, relevance to target demographic, price, etc.

Fee: $90 (one day), $150 (2 days) (+ $15 app fee)
Redress Raleigh is a local eco-fashion company known for its amazing eco-fashion shows. For Fall 2013 Redress is hosting a Fall Fashion Expo with 2 fashion shows - one focused on vintage fashions, the other a local designer showcase - and a marketplace, all in one place! Vendors will be judged on innovative designs, eco-friendly production practices, craftsmanship, and professionalism of products and booth presentation.
The Handmade Market is a seminannual shopping event in downtown Raleigh. The Handmade Market was created by The Handmaidens, an NC collective of independent designers, who realized there are few shows in the region focused on great emerging independent artists in the area. Artists selected are chosen for how well their work fits within the scope of the Handmade Market, how well the business and products are represented in the application, and the quality and originality of the products.
