The only way to learn is to get involved; as a designer and intern for Redress Raleigh, I have opened my mind to the possibilities and importance of eco-fashion, and it has forever impacted my outlook as a student. For students, internships are the only way to apply and enhance the concepts learned in lecture halls. The work done during an internship takes those concepts and puts them into a proper context within the community.
Local students now have the opportunity to add value to their education through new internships at Redress Raleigh! Interns will have the opportunity to experience and interact with the Triangle’s fashion and textiles community as well as the eco community as a whole. Each internship requires 5-10 or 10-15 hours per week; schedules are flexible with students’ classes. Positions available for application include:
Social Media & Community Manager - As our social media intern, you will gain valuable experience using a variety of tools to create a following and grow exposure for Redress Raleigh and a number of phenomenal designers.
Research & Development - As our research and development intern, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with a variety of key players within the industry - ranging from suppliers to boutique owners to textile dyers and more.
Webmaster - As our webmaster intern, you will gain valuable experience using a variety of tools to create a captivating and interactive website people will want to visit on a daily basis.
Photographer - As our marketing photographer intern, you will gain valuable experience capturing a variety of products, collections and events within the fashion and textiles industry.
