March 2014 was our first time participating on the Runway and in the Style Lounge for Charleston Fashion Week. It was truly an awesome experience and very well organized. The event coordinators were super helpful and made the logistics of putting on a big show surprisingly easy.
We were honored to be the jewelry sponsor for Emerging Designer Terese Sydonna for her rocking runway looks. We met Terese back in January at the kick-off designers meeting where we began our collaboration. CFW really pulls in some top talent from all aspects of design and fashion and it's great that everyone is under one roof (or "tent") for 5 days.
The Style Lounge was exactly that, a bar lounge filled nightly with well-known designers (handmade included) and retailers selling their wares. All attendees of the Runway shows are encouraged to step into the lounge and grab a sweet beverage while shopping new collections. We were thrilled when Fern Mallis, Founder of NYC Fashion Week, stopped by our booth! Having such a fashion icon in our presence was surreal and to have her handpick one our items for her friend, well that was unreal!
We debuted our Spring//Summer 2014 collection which includes new material such as rescued Acrylic which we hand-cut and create earrings & necklaces. Here is the link to our look book which highlights the pieces we brought for fashion week.
CFW is a must and we will continue to participate and encourage others to as well! There are so many opportunities from hair & make-up artists, Style Lounge designers, Emerging Designers, and the list goes on. Charleston is a great location and it was motivating and inspiring to work directly with these designers. The caliber of items that were shown on the runway were truly amazing. CFW is a fantastic event fostering creative people and companies!
