Being a student in a fantastic city such as Raleigh, lots of exciting and unique opportunities are all over the city you just have to look in the right places. Luckily for me, I stumbled upon Mor Aframian and Redress and it aligned perfectly with my interests in communication and public relations. I absolutely love being a student at North Carolina State Univeristy and graduation day will be a sad day for me because I'll have to leave such a great campus behind. Interning at Redress is giving me the chance to do something I'm passionate about, writing. Working for an effective cause as well as getting to learn more about a specific sector of the fashion industry are both things I've always wanted to accomplish. I'm so eager to meet all of the new designers Redress has selected for the 2015 Spring Fashion Show, part of the Redress Eco-Fashion and Textiles Conference. Meeting such creative and innovative people in the fashion industry will be an amazing experience within itself. Hopefully I will be able to let each designer's creative light shine through my blog posts so all of the followers of Redress can follow us on our journey.
This being my very first internship I'm hoping to learn a lot through the entire Redress organization. I couldn't be more thrilled to be working with the sustainable fashion movement here in the Southeast as well as getting to write my way through all my experiences as the intern. There is no doubt in my mind that Redress' passion and dedication to the movement will teach me a great deal -- here's to sharing my Redress journey with you all!
