Are you interested in mapping the current United States fashion and textiles industry? Redress Raleigh, an event planning and marketing company for the fashion and textiles industry, is seeking a talented individual to become our fantastic all-knowing research and development intern! Redress Raleigh is looking to continue expanding information in its current resource database so that others can use it to help grow their businesses.

As our research and development intern, you will gain valuable experience researching and collecting data about the current United States fashion and textiles industry. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with a variety of key players within the industry - ranging from suppliers to boutique owners to textile dyers and more. You will also learn how to organize and manage a user-friendly database in addition to building a portfolio of your work which will benefit you for future job searches.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Researching suppliers of fabrics, trims, notions, and other textile materials

  • Researching cut & sew manufacturers

  • Researching boutiques (brick & mortar and online)

  • Researching fashion and textiles events around the globe (both local and international)

  • Researching networking and speaking opportunities for Redress Raleigh (such as SXSW Eco)

Requirements include:

  • An interest in business research and development within the fashion and textiles industry

  • Strong research and data collection skills

  • Strong organization skills and ability to present information clearly

  • A minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week

Strong applicants will have a background in research and business development, but past experience is not required. Internships are unpaid, but may be used to receive college credit.
